Greater Tuna is the hilarious comedy about Texas' third smallest town, where the Lion's Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. The eclectic band of citizens that make up this town are portrayed by only two performers, making this satire on life in rural America even more delightful as they depict all of the inhabitants of Tuna -- men, women, children and animals. |
Dear members and friends:
We have a very important announcement to share with all of you. After much deliberation and no small amount of reflection, the Slocum House Theater Board of Directors has determined that we will be closing our doors March 11.
We simply cannot sustain our operations in the current, harsh economic climate. We will leave our current location and close in order to re-organize and return as a new company in the future.
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been a part of our long history. We would not have been able to do this so long without each and every one of you.
Please note that to celebrate our long history we are offering tickets to Greater Tuna for FREE. We look forward to seeing all of you in the audience as we honor our past and look to an exciting new future!
For more information, please read the press release that we issued today.
Thank you for your support, and please know – this isn’t just an end, it’s also a beginning!
